Bagot Bell in Adelaide, founded 1977, is the longest established bell business in Australia. Its owner and technical director, Hervey Bagot MSc, is a practical scientist by training and brings to the work the principle that nothing but the best will do. This applies to the manufacture of some bell patterns in Adelaide (first tuned bell created 1981), the procurement of other bells from carefully selected European sources, the design and construction in Adelaide of most of the ancillary bell-frames and accessory parts, and the planning and execution of installation and maintenance work.
